WEEK OF FAMILY!!!

My Precious Husband!

February 14, 2003 - God granted my deepest most wonderful dreams.  This is the first time that Scott and I went out.  The only thing I can really say is that there is no doubt in my mind that when God created me - he knew this day would come!

After going through divorce which of course was the direct reflection of a really bad marriage which left me as a single mom.  This is something that in my "little girl" dreams never was a thought.  I remember telling God after my divorce, that not to worry Blaine and I would be just fine.  I truly did not need a man to complete my life.  I had Blaine - what else could I have possibly yearned for.  The truth is I MEANT that!  I had no true intention of meeting someone, much less marrying them.

When Scott came along, I was leery, would this be more of the same?  Would he be some super nice guy, then we will get married and all things will change?  What about Blaine?   This is my only concern - I knew "I" would make it through anything - but what about Blaine?  Could he love him like his own son?  Would he show partiality between his two girls which he had custody of and Blaine?  Bottom line is - if he doesnt LOVE Blaine - nothing else matters!!!!

Well let me go ahead and tell you!  God is AMAZING becuase he sent one of his own to love me and LOVE Blaine!!!!!  Scott is an amazing amazing dad!  He loves his children so very much and you can see him just looking at them and smiling everyday.  They are his prize possession.  He is also an AMAZING husband -- man I feel so undeserving at times.  I never expected a man to love me so much -- it is an amazing feeling!!!! 

If any of you that are reading this are single moms who just dont know what is next (or if there is even a next to come) -- TRUST God!  He already has it all planned out.  Dont make the decisions on your own -- allow God to show you who he wants you to be with -- if you allow this -- then one day you too will be blogging about the wonderful, amazing, loving CHRISTIAN man he has paired you up with!  The man you are to do life with! 

If you are married - you may already know all of this and if you do -- doesnt it feel great to wake up each and everyday of your life with your BEST FRIEND!!!!!!  I never knew that my husband could truly be a BEST friend - but he is that and soooo much more!

Take a minute and thank God for what he has or is doing in your life!  I promise he knows better than you!!!
